GAIL Issues Tender for Solar Power Plants at its Rajahmundry Township By Ayush Verma/ Updated On Tue, Jul 30th, 2019 GAIL has issued an IFB for the commissioning of grid-connected solar power systems at its Rajahmundry office and township in Andhra Pradesh. GAIL India, the largest state-owned natural gas processing and distribution company, has issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the commissioning of grid-connected solar power systems at GAIL Rajahmundry office and township in Andhra Pradesh. The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the grid-interactive solar plants. And, the selected bidders will have a period of 4 months from the date of issue of the Letter of Award to complete the work on the project The last date for bid submission is August 16, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for August 8, 2019, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders. The bid security amount that each bidder must submit along with their bids will depend on the category in which they have submitted the bids. Under Group-A (Rajahmundry Office – KG Basin) category, the bidders will have to submit Rs 57.5 thousand as bid security. In Group-B (Rajahmundry Township – KG Basin) category, the bidders will have to submit Rs 55 thousand. If the bidder desires to submit a bid under both categories, then they must submit Rs 1.12 lakh as bid security. To be eligible, the bidder should be a solar system manufacturer or integrator and should have previous experience of successfully executed work order pertaining to the scope of work for a minimum value of Rs 14.27 lakh (Group-A) {Rs 13.73 lakh (Group-B)} in a single work order in previous 7 years prior to the due date of bid submission. For bidders submitting a bid in both groups, they should have previous experience of successfully executed work order pertaining to the scope of work for a minimum value of Rs 28.01 lakh in a single work order. And, the annual turnover of the bidder should be at least Rs 28.01 lakh in any one of the three preceding financial years.
