FY25: Waaree Renewable Looks Forward With 2.4 GW Orders GAIL Limited and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) recently joined hands to set up around 1 GW of solar and wind projects in suitable land parcels, thus creating an opportunity for Round the Clock (RTC) power. Both parties will work together towards setting up around 1,000 MW of solar and wind projects in suitable land parcels, thus creating an opportunity for more firm power. Further with an intent of optimizing the operations of gas-based power plants in Rajasthan, RRVUNL and GAIL, a state-owned energy corporation focusing on trade, transmission, and production distribution of natural gas plan to explore the possibility of transferring RRVUNL’s gas-based power plant located in Dholpur and Ramgarh, Rajasthan to a proposed Joint Venture Company (JVC) between GAIL & RRVUNL. A non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this was signed here in the presence of Hiralal Nagar, Energy Minister, Rajasthan, and Alok, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Rajasthan Government. Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, of GAIL, and Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (Business Development), of GAIL were present during the MoU signing ceremony. The MoU was signed by Devendra Shringi, Chairman and Managing Director of RRVUNL, and Sumit Kishore, Executive Director (Business Development and Exploration & Production), GAIL.
