Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) reported a 30% year-on-year increase in operational capacity to 14.2 GW in FY25, with an additional 1 GW nearing completion, the company said in its provisional operational update.

The company in a recent update shared, “Adani’s energy sales rose 28% year-on-year to 27,969 million units during the fiscal year, driven by rapid capacity additions. The company said power generation has grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 45% over the past five years, supported by a rising share of merchant power. The company’s consolidated capacity utilization factor (CUF) stood at 24.8%, backed by 99.5% plant availability.”

AGEL said the CUF at its flagship Khavda solar project reached 32.4% in Q4 FY25, close to stabilized operating levels. The performance was attributed to the site’s strong resource potential and the use of advanced renewable energy technologies, including bifacial n-type modules, horizontal single-axis trackers (HSAT), and robotic cleaning systems.”

Whereas, in its wind energy portfolio Adani recorded a CUF of 27.2% with 95.9% plant availability, while the hybrid portfolio achieved a CUF of 39.5% with 99.6% availability. Adani Green also reported a 42% CAGR in FY25A a 15.2% in FY25 and a 27% increase in CAGR and expected to reach 50.0 in FY30E.

Operational Capacity Details

AGEL added 3,309 MW of greenfield capacity in FY25, bringing total operational capacity to 14,243 MW. This includes 2,710 MW of solar power plants, with 1,460 MW commissioned in Khavda (Gujarat), 1,000 MW in Rajasthan, and 250 MW in Andhra Pradesh. The company also operationalized 599 MW of wind power in Khavda, Gujarat.

Solar Projects On The Rise

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has rapidly added new solar capacity across multiple states in India in 2025 itself, through its subsidiaries, the company said. These projects include a 250 MW solar power plant at Bhimsar in Rajasthan and another 250 MW project in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. AGEL also commissioned a 67 MW solar project at Khavda, Gujarat, through its subsidiary Adani Green Energy Twenty Six B Ltd. In addition, the company operationalized 275 MW of solar capacity at Khavda through Adani Green Energy Twenty-Five A Ltd.
