Fujiyama Launches 5 New E-Scooters in India with Prices Starting Rs 49,499

India’s e-scooter manufacturing firm, Fujiyama has introduced five electric scooters in India. The firm will begin with introductory offer prices ranging between Rs 49,499 to Rs 99,999 for the e-scooters.

Amongst the five models launched, four are  low-speed models viz. Spectra Pro, Spectra, Vespar, Thunder models. One is a high-speed model called Ozone+. As per the firm, it has a highly efficient and low maintenance BLDC motor.

Dwelling on the future plans, Udit Agarwal, CEO, Fujiyama, informed about building a state-of-the-art plant at their facility  in the UNA district of Himachal Pradesh with an investment of Rs 150 crores in three phases.

“It will have the capacity of producing 20,00,000 units annually, in-house production of motors, controllers, batteries, and all the structural components of vehicles,” he said.

He also revealed the plans of launching two e-bikes in the approaching months that will include a classic e-scooter, which costs Rs 69,999 with a range of up to 160 km. The second one is a motorcycle which would cost Rs 99,999. Further, the firm also plans to launch e-loader and commercial three-wheelers in the coming months.

As per the firm, there are plans to launch 45 new showrooms in March 2023 itself, taking the total tally to over 140 dealers pan India. Furthermore, the firm also plans to inaugurate more than 500 showrooms in FY 23-24. The firm intends to establish three more manufacturing facilities by 2025 in Rajasthan, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, taking the production capacity to 60,00,000 units annually.
