First Solar to deliver 160 MW of PV Panels to Turkish Companies By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Aug 12th, 2016 US-based thin-film solar modules supplier First Solar has won two large contracts of 160 MW in direct current (DC) from Turkey based energy company. The US Company has gone into agreement to supply 160 MW of its high-performance solar modules to PV projects in Turkey. The two contracts were signed in the first half of 2016 between First Solar and two Turkish companies – Zorlu Enerji and Basariarge Enerji A.S, which is also a joint venture between Basari Group and local infrastructure company Basari Yatirimlar. The Turkish energy company, Zorlu Enerji has purchased First Solar’s Series-4 100MW of thin-film modules for projects that will be released next year; while remaining 60 MW are for Basariarge Enerji’s own projects, and for projects it will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services.
