FIMER Proudly Backs India’s Limitless Spiritual Energy FIMER

With almost 65 crore(650 million)  people taking a dip at the holy sangam in Prayagraj by the last day on Feb 26, the  World knows about the immense event that is the Kumbh in India. While the Kumbh is undoubtedly the biggest human spectacle of this year, India’s spiritual fabric had been strengthened further a year back in 2024, with the inauguration of the grand temple dedicated to Lord Ram at Ayodhya.

While both Ayodhya and Prayagraj have become a magnet for India’s vast multitudes of devotees, many may not know about a unique aspect to these new must-visit destinations. Both have made a dramatic push to ensure that everything is underpinned by a focus on sustainability. And within that, green energy powered by solar energy has played a critical role.

For FIMER, it has been a privilege to have played a role in this push for sustainable spiritualism, played out through its association with solar projects in the regions.

Over 65 crore people took a dip at the sangam during the festival period. That would make it the world’s fourth largest country by population!

FIMER Inverters At Ayodhya

FIMER, a global leader in energy solutions, supplied its cutting-edge 5 MVA inverters to Jakson Green for the monumental “40MW Ayodhya Solar PV Project,” developed by NTPC Green Energy Ltd. Jakson provided a total of 104,580 solar panels for the project.

Under the auspices of the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency (UPNEDA), the 40MW solar power plant is fully operational, spanning across two sites in Rampur Halwara and Sarairasi.

FIMER’s PVS980-58 central inverters, tailored for large PV power plants, play a pivotal role in this ambitious project. With high DC input voltage, proven components, and a modular design, FIMER inverters ensure a rapid return on investment. The inverters’ advanced features, including precise system control, maximum power point tracking (MPPT), and a self-contained cooling system, contribute to maximizing energy yield and revenue for end-users. Advanced grid support features include active power limitation, fault ride through (FRT) with current feed-in and reactive power control.

IF Ayodhya has been about the largest solar project in the region using FIMER inverters, at the Kumbh, it is the many other plants in UP, many powered by FIMER inverters yet again, that have contributed to helping ensure the power never goes out at Kumbh.

Sustainability At the Forefront in Ayodhya and Prayagraj

Sustainability at the forefront

Waste Management, With a Special Focus On Water, Was a Priority for the Administration

In a sign of the times, both these destinations have seen a remarkable push for sustainability. From green mobility through electric transportation, backed by a massive effort to ‘green’ Ayodhya with more trees. At Kumbh, Hybrid solar powered streetlights along with LED lighting, to massive waste management protocols,  a sincere effort to make it a plastic free zone with no single use plastics and more have highlighted its sustainability credentials. With the key role of holy rivers at both cities, special efforts have been launched for river cleaning and better waste management to handle the millions of devotees expected every year.

For FIMER, it has indeed been a blessing to play its own small role in these magnificent spectacles.
