Satish Mittal Joins Chargeup as Chief Digital Officer

A builder of network of EV charging and battery swapping solutions, Chargeup, has announced the onboarding of former Meta Executive and ex-CTO, Vodafone, Satish Mittal, as the firm’s Chief Digital Officer. Assuming the new role, Satish will  be responsible for accelerating technology, digital, and partnerships initiatives for the brand.

Satish’s appointment comes at a juncture when the firm is proactively following a growth trajectory. Recently, it raised $7 million in Pre-Series A1 funding and has set sights on expanding its services to 20 new cities and power 50,000+ drivers. Chargeup has also been entering into partnerships with leading enterprises in to establish advanced climate-tech solutions.

Satish brings to the table the experience of working with several renowned firms in India and abroad in leadership positions. His stints include his role as the CTO of Global Enterprise with Reliance Communications, SVP and CTO at Vodafone Business Services, and Lead Mobile & Connectivity Partnership at Meta by Facebook. Th new Chief Digital Officer has in his kitty over 30 years of industry experience. At Chargeup, Satish is set to lead the firm in establishing meaningful collaborations and also accelerating the firm’s rate of growth.

The Founder and CEO of Chargeup, Varun Goenka, spoke about the appointment of Satish as the Chief Digital Officer of the firm, “Satish is an industry expert with strong credentials in the Indian as well as international tech domain. A BTech honors graduate from REC, Kurukshetra, Satish Mittal also holds an Executive MBA degree from the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR). He took up his doctoral study on the impact of social media on MSMEs from 2020-2022 at the SP Jain School of Global Management. As an industry expert, he has been on the Board of Studies for SVKM’s NarseeMonjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) wherein he shares his know-how as an industry expert with future entrepreneurs and business leaders.
