Envision Gets 1GW Wind & 320 MWh BESS Orders From Juniper

Envision Energy India announced that it has signed up with Juniper Green Energy (JGE) for the supply of 200  EN 182|5MW Turbine Platform and its maiden 320 MWh BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems). JGE will deploy the wind turbine generators (WTG) for various projects won under State & Central auctions and the BESS package for the Firm Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project awarded by SJVN under its first FDRE auction.

Envision’s WTGs (Wind Turbine Generator) are based on an 182-meter rotor diameter, a hub height of 140-meter, and an ideal configuration for wind & site conditions in India. This 5MW turbine platform has a proven performance in booming markets of the MENA region, Southeast Asia, and China. Key features include:

▪ Enhanced annual energy output (AEP) by over 40% from the current 3.3MW platform

▪ Lowest LCoE (levelized cost of energy)

▪ Lesser no. of land parcels & hence reduced challenges of acquiring rights of way

“Envision’s energy storage solution with a 5MWh 20-feet containerized storage unit will be powered by high-safety, high-performance Lithium Ion 315Ah cells and the same will be integrated through an AIoT-based Energy Management System with the 3.45 MW PCS unit, with each of these three elements designed and manufactured by the Envision group in compliance with the highest global standards. Envision will provide comprehensive lifecycle operation and maintenance services, ” Juniper Green said in a media release.

Recently, Juniper Green Energy also signed an agreement with First Solar for the procurement and supply of 1 gigawatt (GW) of advanced Series 7 FT1 cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin-film photovoltaic (PV) modules, showcasing its commitment to adopting cutting-edge solar technology. Additionally, the company has signed Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with key entities, including SJVN, GUVNL, and NTPC, further strengthening its renewable energy portfolio.
