Envision bags 116 MW Wind Turbine Deal From Blueleaf Energy By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Aug 12th, 2024 Envision Wind Power Technologies India Private Limited has announced a major milestone by securing a 116 MW turbine supply agreement with Blueleaf Energy. This agreement involves the supply of 35 EN-156 3.3 MW turbines for a co-located wind-solar hybrid power project in Madhya Pradesh, set to commence construction in 2024 and complete by 2025. The project aims to generate clean energy 24/7, reducing the need for grid expansion and lowering the levelized cost of energy (LCOE). Envision’s CEO, RPV Prasad, emphasized the company’s dedication to the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, highlighting that the components for the turbines will be sourced and assembled within India, creating significant job opportunities and boosting local manufacturing. Blueleaf Energy’s COO, Amiram Roth-Deblon, commented, “This project includes Blueleaf Energy’s innovative solution to combine optimized generation profiles with bespoke commercial arrangements that meet the needs of strategic energy offtakers. Combining wind and solar and co-locating their power generation facilities, our plant will generate clean energy 24/7, reducing the need for grid expansion, and lowering the levelized cost of energy (LCOE). We look forward to a successful collaboration and project delivery with Envision for our Pachora Hybrid Power Project, as we work towards our goal of deploying over 5 GW of renewable energy capacity in India by 2030.” Envision has been a big beneficiary of the resurgence in wind power in India with over 1,550 MW of wind projects installed and 7.7 GW of projects awarded from 21 independent power producers (IPPs). Their manufacturing facilities with an annual capacity of 3 GW for nacelle and hub assembly in Pune and 2.5 GW for blades between their own plant in Trichy and a vendor near Bengaluru place them well to deliver in India.
