Enphase Makes Inroads in Bareilly With 754kW Installation By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Dec 19th, 2022 Highlights : The combination of solar and roofing via the InRoof system seems to have helped Enphase convince the customer to Enphase InRoofsee the long term benefits associated with its microinverter based solutions. Enphase Energy, Inc., a global energy technology company and the world’s leading supplier of microinverter-based solar and battery systems, has announced the commissioning of a 745 kw InRoof solar installation for B.L. Agro Industries Limited. The Ornate Solar manufactured InRoof solar system spreads over an area of 45000 square feet at the B.L. Agro facility in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. The InRoof system is basically a version of BIPV (Building Integrated PV) with the solar system doubling as the roof of the facility too. Each of the 1,638 solar panels in the InRoof system are equipped with the latest generation of IQ7TM Microinverters from Enphase Energy. Powered by advanced technology, the microinverters provide high production, enhanced reliability, and leading intelligence. With burst mode technology, the IQ7 Microinverters can produce more electricity at dawn and dusk, and in low-light conditions for a longer solar day. Enphase also offers a complete panel-level monitoring of the InRoof system. With the Enphase AppTM, B.L. Agro can real time monitor electricity production anytime, anywhere. “With Ornate, we are building a safe and aesthetically unique solar installation for B.L. Agro” said Sunil Thamaran, VP, HR and MD at Enphase Energy India. Two For the Price of 1. The InRoof system at B.L. Agro Enphase claims that the InRoof system is a unique structural solution that can integrate panels of any shape and size to replace the conventional metal roofs. The solar roof systems are designed with exclusive architecture and can accommodate up to an additional 26% more solar panels than conventional roof-mounted solar systems. They also generate over 4-8% more energy because of free air circulation which lowers module back sheet temperatures by up to 15 degrees Celsius. Commenting on the solar installation, Ornate Solar, Director, Aditya Goel, said, “Ornate InRoof is a first-of-its-kind PV integrated system that serves as a primary roof and eliminates the need for traditionally used sheet roofing. The InRoof is fully customizable and compatible with all types of solar modules. Also, we are excited to partner with Enphase to power a reputed brand like B.L. Agro.” B.L. Agro’s InRoof system has an indigenously developed structure which comprises special-purpose roll-formed continuous (SRFC) sections made from a high-strength steel alloy, resistant to corrosion and oxidation. The structure provides a 100% guarantee against water leakage. “Installing a solar energy management system at our production facility is a long-term investment in B.L. Agro’s sustainability efforts. We need the most efficient structure and best in class technology to power our solar installation in Bareilly. With Ornate Solar’s uniquely designed InRoof system and Enphase Energy’s advanced microinverter technology, safety and durability of our solar system is no longer a concern,” said Ashish Khandelwal, MD, B.L. Agro Industries Limited. The successful commissioning of the system is a creditable achievement for Enphase, in terms of its ability to convince customers about the long term benefits linked to its Microinverter-based PV solutions. In this case, the InRoof solution seems to have helped swing the deal its way, as the system serves dual purpose of energy generation as well as the roof of the facility.
