Enercon Signs 6 MW Turbine Agreement with Enerjisa Üretim By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Apr 28th, 2023 Highlights : Germany-based wind energy firm Enercon has entered into a contract with Turkey-based energy producer Enerjisa Üretim. The preliminary contract paves the way for the delivery of two wind turbine prototypes, under which, Enercon will be responsible for the supply of two of its 6MW E-175 EP5 type units. Enercon Signs 6 MW Turbine Agreement with Enerjisa Üretim Germany-based wind energy firm Enercon has entered into a contract with Turkey-based energy producer Enerjisa Üretim. The preliminary contract paves the way for the delivery of two wind turbine prototypes, under which, Enercon will be responsible for the supply of two of its 6MW E-175 EP5 type units. It will boast of a rotor diameter of 175 metre. The timeline for delivery of the turbines is 2024. The MoU was signed between Enercon and Enerjisa at WindEurope 2023- an annual event where wind energy voices gather. Other than the delivery and installation of plant technology, the MoU will also entail the operation and service of the prototypes of the wind turbine. The prototypes will see installation at the Enerjisa Üretim Balıkesir Wind Power Plant and Enerjisa Üretim Bandırma Energy Base. Both are located in Balıkesir Province in northwestern Turkey. Enercon’s Chief Executive Jürgen Zeschky said, “Enercon is already the turbine supplier for the YEKA RES 2 project, in which we will install 1000MW of onshore capacity in Turkey for Enerjisa Üretim over the next three years.” He further added, “With the delivery of the new E-175 EP5, we are opening the next chapter of our partnership.” An IEA report mentions that the RE capacity of Turkey is expected to grow 64 per cent or 33.8 GW in next five years and it will be one of the 10 top RE markets in the world Tags: 6 MW turbine, Enercon, Enerjisa, WindEurope
