Emmvee Announces New Solar Cell & Module Factory in Bengaluru By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Thu, Feb 23rd, 2023 Highlights : The phase 2 of capacity expansion of 1.50 GW solar cell line and 1.75 GW of module manufacturing facility construction has been kickstarted officially. The facility will be the most advanced and fully automated production line with built-up area of about 500,000 square feet, the firm shares. Solar PV player Emmvee Group has announced its new solar cell and module manufacturing facility at Dabaspet, Bengaluru, Karnataka. The project is part of the Emmvee expansion plan of a total of 1.50 GW solar cell line and 3.00 GW solar module manufacturing capacity. Emmvee held that the module and cell facilities are scheduled to commence operation from June 2023 and early 2024 respectively. With the start of construction of our new facility, the firm will continue to fulfil the increasing demand and support its customers in business continuity by timely execution of supply.” “The expansion of capacity is under Rs. 1,000 Crore MoU recently signed with Government of Karnataka,” said Suhas Donthi, Group Director, Emmvee Group of Companies. “The new solar cell and module line facility is a testament of Emmvee’s reputation as a global player in manufacturing and supplying of high quality and efficient Solar PV modules.” The new plant is strategically constructed right next to the current 750MW module manufacturing facility of Emmvee to ensure operational excellence and control.
