EESL Opens Bids For 1 GW of DCR-Compliant Solar Modules By Chitrika Grover/ Updated On Wed, Oct 23rd, 2024 Highlights : It invited bids till 11th November, 2024. EESL Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) , an energy saving company, in its latest tender sought bids for 1 GW solar module from bidders which have a rate contract for supply of ~1,000 MWp domestic content requirement (DCR) compliant crystalline 540 Wp and above Solar PV Modules across India. This is a rate contract for 6 months. It invited bids till 11th November, 2024. The tender aimed at allocating Lots/Package/Schedule region wise. It allotted an tentative/estimated requirement of PV Module of 240 MWp in the north region, 250 MWp in the south region, 160 MWp in the south region, 210 in the East region and 140 MWp in the North East and special category region, thereby collectively amounting to 1 GW. The tender also gave a breakup of earnest money deposit for the required under different package. The bidders are expected to submit Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) package, for Package I: Rs. 10,08,00,000.00, for Package II: Rs. 10,38,00,000.00 and for Package III: Rs. 6,72,00,000.00 and for Package IV: Rs. 8,82,00,000.00. Additionally, the bidders are expected to summit bid security amount for different packages. For instance, the bidders under under package I are expected to summit the Rs. 10,08,00,000.00 as bit amount whereas for package II the amount of Rs. 10,38,00,000.00 and for Package III is set at Rs. 6,72,00,000.00 and for Package IV its Rs. 8,82,00,000.00 For Package V: Rs. 6,02,00,000.00 To develop this project the bidders or the Solar PV modules manufacturer is expected to have successfully manufactured and supplied at least below listed crystalline type solar PV modules in the last 3 years, as on the originally scheduled date of bid opening.
