EESL Issues Bid To Setup 70 MW Solar Projects In Maharashtra By Chitrika Grover/ Updated On Mon, Aug 12th, 2024 Highlights : The last date for bid submission is September 20, 2024 EESL Issues Tender To Setup 70 MW SPGS Across Maharashtra To scale up demand for energy efficiency sector projects and to utilize the financing received from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) opened bids from eligible source countries of ADB to set up 70 MW of Solar Power Generating Systems (SPGS) in Maharashtra. EESL invited the bids in a sealer manner from eligible bidders for the design, supply, construction, erection, testing, and comprehensive maintenance service contract (CMC) for 12 years for up to 70 MW of Solar Power Generating Systems (SPGS), ranging from 2 MW to 10 MW with 20 September 2024 set as the last date for bid submission. The tender provided a breakdown of the project as follows: “(Lot 1: 30 MW, Lot 2: 20 MW, and Lot 3: 20 MW) at various locations in Maharashtra. Additionally, there will be a separate bespoke operation and maintenance contract for each of the three lots of 30 MW, 20 MW, and 20 MW capacity, respectively.” ADB To Support Electric Transport Connectivity For Nagpur Metro Also Read The EESL tender added, “The procurement is grouped into three lots, bid out as Package 1 – Lot 1, Package 1 – Lot 2, and Package 1 – Lot 3. The employer will evaluate and compare bids based on a contract, or a combination of contracts, or as a total of contracts to arrive at the least-cost combination for the Employer, taking into account discounts offered by bidders in the case of the award of multiple contracts.” The bidder is expected to meet certain financial qualifications.
