eBikeGo to Install 1 Lakh Smart EV Charging Stations Across 7 Cities By Soumya Duggal/ Updated On Tue, Sep 28th, 2021 eBikeGo, a leading electric two-wheeler mobility platform, has created an economical IoT-enabled smart charging solution, eBikeGo Charge, which can be accessed via the eBikeGo Charge Mobile App. Wi-fi enabled, it can even monitor real-time charging statistics for a seamless charging experience, said the company. Indian 2 Wheeler unit sales stood at 21.2 million units in 2019 and are estimated to reach 26.6 million units by 2025 at a CAGR of 2.6%. Domestic two-wheeler sales increased in the first quarter of 2021-22 as compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The majority of the automobiles sold were gasoline vehicles, which emit significant amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The government has also launched several measures to bring about a revolution of electric vehicles to curb pollution. However, sales of electric vehicles remain low when compared to gasoline vehicles. The fundamental cause of this disparity is the lack of an appropriate EV ecosystem, especially adequate charging infrastructure in Indian cities, that is tailored to the country’s road conditions and vehicle demand, says eBikeGo. To solve this problem, it has launched its new one-of-its-kind charging station, which will be installed every 500 meters, enabling riders to start and stop anywhere, anytime. Once the battery is fully charged, it automatically shuts off. It offers predetermined recharge plans as per the user’s demand, making it cost-effective. For a hassle-free experience, it offers an integrated payment mechanism. “With a 3-Pin power connector, eBikeGo Charge includes distinctive LED lighting for different charging states. It has a 190V-240V power range with a 50Hz AC output of 16A/3.3kW. It features OCPP, Wi-Fi, RFID, and a mobile app. Machine learning and AI are used to power this one-of-a-kind, portable charging station. It displays revenue graphs as well as a heat map of usage information. It has a proper error and complaint management system that will send out automated error resolution alerts in the event of a problem when charging,” says the company. eBikeGo Unveils New Electric Moto-scooter Starting at Rs. 79,999 Also Read eBikeGo Charge will be available in Mumbai, Bangalore, Indore, Pune, New Delhi, Amritsar, and Hyderabad, among the seven cities where eBikeGo is now functioning.
