Earth Energy EV Uncovers Three new Indigenous Electric Two Wheelers By Bhoomika Singh/ Updated On Thu, Feb 4th, 2021 Mumbai based automotive startup, Earth Energy EV has launched its three all-new electric two-wheelers (E2Ws) Glyde+ scooter, and two motorcycles; Evolve R & Evolve Z, for Rs 92,000, Rs 1.30 lakh, and Rs 1.42 lakh, respectively. The company announced them as the on-road prices of the E2Ws that are absolutely indigenous. However, the Glyde+ e-scooter will be available in showrooms from the end of this month, while the Evolve Z and R e-bikes will be available by March-end. Currently, there are seven dealerships in Mumbai whereas 45 showrooms would be planned by the end of this year. Speaking of their accomplishment, CEO & Founder, Earth Energy EV, Rushi S. stated, “We are thrilled to announce the launch of our first range of electric two-Wheelers. All three E2Ws are provided with an automatic headlight-enabled feature for switching between night and day time modes, The LCD helps riders to see battery SOC, real-time range and TBT (turnabout time) navigation, etc. Interestingly, the e-scooter Glyde+ comes with a 2.4 kW electric motor that gives a top speed of 60 Kmph. As the company claims, the e-scooter has a range of 100 km on a single charge which uses a 52 Ah lithium-ion battery. The battery is expected to be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 40 minutes. However, e-motorcycles are expected to be seen on roads by the end of next month, while Evolve Z comes with a 96 Ah lithium-ion battery with a range of 100 Kms. The E-bike has a 5.2 kW electric motor which gives a top speed of 95 Kmph. Moreover, the company claims to have a 7,000 square feet R&D center in Vasai, outside of Mumbai. That holds a capacity to build about 12,000 two-wheelers per year along with the production of in-house lithium-ion batteries.
