American power and energy company Dominion Energy is adding a 150 MW solar facility in Prince George County, Virginia. As per the deal, the company will own and operate this solar facility and will provide energy and renewable energy certificates (RECs) to a data center under a long-term agreement. With this new addition, the company has achieved 45 percent of its goal of having 3 GW target of new wind and solar energy in operation or under development in Virginia by 2022. In another significant development, the board of directors of the company has declared a quarterly dividend of 91.75 cents per share of common stock. Such dividends will be payable on December 20, 2019, to shareholders of record at the close of business December 06, 2019. This will be the 367th consecutive dividend that the company or its predecessor company will pay to its shareholders. Meanwhile, it’s last quarterly dividend was declared on July 31, 2019.
