Deye Optimistic Over Its New Product-‘Solar Micro-Inverters’ By Manish Kumar/ Updated On Mon, Apr 28th, 2025 Deye Optimistic Over Its New Product-'Solar Micro-Inverters' Global energy storage company Ningbo Deye Inverters is now optimistic over the sales of their latest product-solar micro-inverters. The company recently showcased its series of micro-inverters at the recently concluded RenewX exhibition in Chennai. The top management of the company told Saur Energy that the new product is likely to see a major fillip with the technology-conscious consumers shifting to the new innovative products. Micro-inverters, unlike the string inverters have the added advantage of a bit of better generation due to optimal utilization of each panel in the project, less wiring and space requirement among others. “We are launching micro-inverters and C&I ESS solutions at RenewX,” said Bharat Singh, Director – Sales and Marketing (India and MENA), Ningbo Deye Inverters. “Micro-inverters are the need of the hour for initiatives like PM Surya Ghar. Although this segment is still at a nascent stage, whether installers and customers show interest remains to be seen. But we are optimistic about their offtake among the smaller solar setups like rooftop solar,” he added. Supply Likely From June He noted that while micro-inverters come at a higher cost, they offer several added advantages. “We expect to receive BIS certification in May, and products will be available from June. We are micro-inverter-ready for upcoming projects,” Singh added. In the C&I segment, Deye is introducing a 100 kW system paired with a 215 kWh battery, providing a two-hour backup solution. “There is a significant rise in storage requirements, and we are one of the key players offering solutions at this scale,” Singh said. He further revealed that Deye plans to soon introduce utility-scale containerized BESS solutions with capacities up to 4 MWh. Offerings for PM Surya Ghar Addressing the PM Surya Ghar initiative, Singh said Deye offers string inverters ranging from 3 kW to 10 kW and micro-inverters from 1 kW to 2 kW. “We recently saw the MNRE notification on hybrid inverters. Deye has 3 kW and 5 kW hybrid inverters paired with our own battery energy storage systems,” he said in an interview with Saur Energy. On market trends, Singh observed that while quick adoption has been seen in a few states, overall demand remains slow in regions offering good tariffs or free electricity. “We expect a huge surge in demand for hybrid inverters by the second half of the year,” he added.
