Datta Power Infra has now signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government. The MoU envisages an investment of ₹5,000 crore in the state’s renewable energy sector.

The investment aims to transform Rajasthan into a key hub for renewable energy. The firm plans to do this by boosting solar, wind, and hybrid power projects in the state. The firm has eyed districts like Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Nagaur, Pratapgarh, and Jodhpur for this.

As part of this initiative, Datta Infra plans to establish 1,000 MW of renewable energy projects. These projects will connect with the State Transmission Utility (STU). A significant portion of the investment will also support solar irrigation under the PM-KUSUM Scheme. The company projects that the initiative will create 500–750 green jobs in the region, driving sustainable development and regional economic growth.

Rajeev Kumar Bansal, CFO of Datta Power Infra, commented, “This move aligns with our long-term growth plans to increase our renewable energy portfolio by 30% over the next five years. In the short term, we anticipate a strong positive impact on both the regional economy and our bottom line, with expected revenue growth of 15–20% by the end of FY 2025.”

Varchasvi Gagal, CEO & Managing Director, highlighted the broader impact of the investment, stating, “Our proposed investment will catalyze the growth of a sustainable future for Rajasthan and India as a whole.”
