SJVN has announced that Datta Infra, Gentari India, Juniper Green Energy, EG Energy, and Sunsure Energy are the winners of its 1200 MW ISTS-connected Wind Solar Hybrid Tender auction. These companies secured the project at a tariff of Rs 3.19/kWh. The tender for this project was released in June of this year, and the results were announced within four months.

According to the tender announcement, Datta Infra received a 70 MW allocation, Gentari Renewables received 400 MW, and Juniper Green and EG Energy each received 300 MW. Lastly, Sunsure Energy secured 130 MW. The quoted tariff for this project is lower than the rate for the previous wind-solar hybrid tender in July, where the lowest bid was Rs 3.43/kWh, awarded to Juniper Green Energy for a 150 MW project. This tender rate is also lower than NTPC’s 1.2 GW wind-solar hybrid project, which was awarded at the lowest tariff of Rs 3.28/kWh to Green Prairie Energy III (EverGreen) and Adyant Ensersol (Datta Infra).

This hybrid power project comprises two components: solar and wind. According to the initial tender, the rated capacities of both components must each be at least 33% of the total contracted capacity to qualify as a hybrid project under the guidelines.

In its latest financial results announcement for Q2 FY25, SJVN reported a surge in both revenue and profits, on a quarterly and yearly basis. According to the results, the company’s total revenue reached Rs 107,694 lakh in Q2, compared to Rs 90,288 lakh in Q1 FY25 and Rs 95,269 lakh in Q2 FY24. This represents a quarterly profit increase of 19% and a yearly increase of 13%.

In terms of net profit, the company’s net profit stood at Rs 47,306 lakh. This is against the profit of Rs 32,715 lakh in Q1FY25 and Rs 44,135 lakh in Q2FY24. Thus on a quarterly basis, the firm reported a profit increase of 45%. Meanwhile, on a YoY basis, the firm reported a surge in its profits by 7.1 percent.
