Solida said that the site would also see the opening of a sheep farm. Croatia is set to welcome its first agrisolar power plant, which will be developed by Croatian solar developer, Solida. The construction of the facility with 15 Mwp capacity has begun. The firm has set sights on building only agrisolar plants. For Solida, this will be its largest facility thus far. EUR 10 million Investment The location of the plant spreads to more than 20 hectares in Ivanec. An investment worth EUR 10 million has been made into the agrivoltaic system that would reach completion within a year. Solida said that the site would also see the opening of a sheep farm. Another project is also in the offinf for 30 MW in peak capacity on a land of 60 hectares. Currently, Solida has location permits for 200 MW cumulatively. All are to be employed for agrisolar projects. The European Agrisolar Boom Europe has been witnessing a boom in agrisolar projects. France-based renewables firm Neoen has recently launched a 10 MW agrisolar project in the countru. Large scale-investments are being made in Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania and Greece. Renowned firms such as Iberdrola, Enel Green Power, Engie are also investing in agrisolar projects in various parts of Europe.
