Solar module manufacturer Credence Solar has now announced launching 725-watt peak solar modules in TOPCon technology. The company launched its latest nodule at the recently held Renewable Energy Expo (REI) at Greater Noida. It said that it is likely to start the commercial production of the same from December this year.

These modules have been launched in bifacial segment with dual glass with 210mm 18BB 132 cells configuration with module efficiency of 23.35%. Modules with dimensions of 2384*1303 size are equipped with special design having two back ribs makes the modules robust and as result will avoid deflection / sagging of glass and its after effect, it said.

Talking to Saur Energy, Jinto Joseph, Head-Sales and Business Development of the company said, “At the recently held REI we showcased our mono-PERC and TOPCon modules. While we have our mono-PERC modules at the maximum 700 WP series, we have also launched TOPCOn modules now with a total wattage of 725 Wp. We have also all the required certifications for the mono-PERC modules. We expect all the required certification for our latest 725Wp TOPCon module by December this year. The commercial production of our latest production is set to start from December this year,” he said.

Joseph added that higher Wp modules ensure lesser LCOE (levelized cost of energy) and as it reduces the Balance of System (BoS) requirements, reducing overall project costs.

Credence Solar till March 2024 had a total capacity of 600 MW but it has planned to start a new solar module production line by Februrary2025 with a new capacity of 1.6 GW. The firm is now hopeful of having a total capacity of 2.2 GW by February 2025. The company earlier created ripples in the solar market by introducing 680 Wp of solar modules, enlisted under the ALMM (Approved List of Models and Manufacturers) of the MNRE. It later also launched 700Wp of mono-PERC modules.
