Credence Gets BIS Certification For Its 685W Mono-PERC Modules Gujarat-based solar module manufacturer Credence Solar Panels has now received a new certification for its mono-PERC solar modules. As per the latest update from the office of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the Indian authority granted a BIS certification to the firm for its solar modules upto 685 watts. The BIS certification was issued under the ‘Crystalline Silicon Terrestrial Photovoltaic modules (Si Wafer based) category. The BIS certificate said that the certification will be effective from January 17, 2024. “Credence’s cutting-edge up to 685W PV Modules are BIS-approved and stand as the highest wattage listed in BIS by Indian manufacturers as of date. Our Modules will be listed in ALMM soon. PV modules up to 685W are available for immediate delivery,” the Credence Solar said in a media statement. Officials from Credence Solar also told Saur Energy that it is also set to launch its 720 watt TOPCon solar modules around March this year. “In a groundbreaking move towards advancing solar energy technology, Credence Solar, a renowned player in the Indian renewable energy sector, has officially launched its latest innovation—the 700W+ Formation PV Modules. These high-capacity photovoltaic modules mark a significant leap forward in solar power generation efficiency and sustainability. The 700W+ modules are in Topcon 18BB in 210mm wafers,” a statement from the renewable energy company read. BIS Certification Earlier, in September last year, it had received BIS certification for solar modules upto 670 watts. BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification is a coveted recognition that signifies a product’s adherence to the stringent quality and safety standards established by the Government of India.
