Consultancy Tender Issued for Solar Plant at Embassy of India, Brasilia By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Wed, Feb 23rd, 2022 The President of India, acting through the Embassy of India in Brasilia, Brazil, has invited proposals from eligible contractors for the installation of a solar energy system in the Chancery Complex of the Embassy on a turnkey/design and build basis. The last date to submit sealed bids is is March 14, 2022, till 5 PM. Technical bids will be opened March 15, 2022, at 3 PM at the Embassy. Applicants may send their respective representatives to be present during the opening of bids after obtaining prior permission from the Embassy. Some of the other key details contained in the tender document are given below: Tender validity: 180 days from the date of opening or till any extended period. Performance Security: 5% of the contract value; valid for 60 days Commencement/Mobilization period: Within 15 days from the date of the issuance of acceptance letters or Letters of Intent or handing over the site, whichever is later. Completion: 120 days from the commencement date. Scope of work: Installation of a solar energy system on turnkey/design and build basis as per the following specifications: Decentralized solar photovoltaic electric energy production for self- consumption Injecting the surplus into the public electricity grid. Plant Power: 175 kWp Average Monthly Production: 21.474 Kw Plant area: 1.028 m2 Experience: Minimum 5 years in executing similar projects in reputed offices, preferably government ones, diplomatic missions, international organizations, MNCs or public sector enterprises in Brazil. Requisite similar work: one similar work of value of R$ 520,000 or two similar works of value of R$ 390,000 or three similar works of value of R$ 260,000. ‘Similar work’ refers to the value of fixing/replacing an installed solar energy system for a premise on turnkey basis. Bank solvency: Certificate of Solvency for R$ 260,000 y bank. The certificate should not be older than six months. Bank solvency certificate should mention the company’s relationship with bank and details of their assets. Annual Turnover: The annual turnover of the tenderer should be equal to $325,000 during the immediate last 3 consecutive financial years. Profit-Loss: The tenderer should not have suffered loss in more than two financial years in the previous five financial years and must not have suffered loss in the immediate previous financial year.
