Coal India Invites Bids For 70 MW Solar Plant At Madhya Pradesh By Chitrika Grover/ Updated On Fri, Jan 10th, 2025 Highlights : CIL is accepting bids until 18th January 2025 Coal India Invites Bids For 70 MW Solar Plant At Madhya Pradesh Coal India Limited (CIL) recently released a tender to develop and commission a 70 MW (AC) grid-connected solar power plant. It has also mandated the developers to ensure the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of the project for 10 years. The project will be developed for the Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a government-owned company in Nagpur, at Nandan Washery, Kanhan Area (Madhya Pradesh). CIL will accept the bids until January 18, 2025. The Coal India tender stated, “The project is expected to be commissioned within 30 days of the issuance of the letter of acceptance and submission of the Performance Security, or seven days after handing over the site for the first activity as per the PERT network chart, whichever is later. The tender laid down the total contract period of 4,192 days (540 days + 3,652 days). The construction of the plant, including testing & commissioning, is expected to be completed within 540 days. The comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant is expected to be completed within 3,652 days.” The tender mandates the bidder to have certain prior experience. The tender stated, “The intending tenderer must have in its name experience of having completed similar works during the last seven years ending on the last day of the month prior to the one in which bid applications are invited, i.e., e-publication.” For instance, the bidder is expected to have, “Three similar completed works, each costing not less than 20% of the estimated cost put to tender.
