Coal India Floats Tender for EPC of 35 MW Solar Project

Svayru Energy Wins 25 MW Solar Project of Coal India Limited

Coal India Limited has issued a tender for design, engineering, procurement and supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of 35 MW (ac) solar PV power plants. The plants are at the three locations of Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL) with comprehensive O&M of the plant and the associated transmission system for five years.

ECL is a subsidiary of Coal India.

The last date for the submission of bids is 01.03.2023 . Bids open on 02.03.2023.

The tender value is Rs 2,05,83,15,000.

By March 31, 2022, Coal/lignite the installed solar capacity of PSUs stood at about 1598 MW with wind mills of 51 MW. Coal India Limited (CIL) has installed 8.9 MW of solar power plants, which entails 2 MW of ground mounted solar projects. Coal India, has committed to becoming a net zero energy company. Currently, it is implementing 3 GW solar power program by 2023-24.
