Cleantech Solar to Develop C&I Solar PV Projects of 60 MWp Capacity in Tamil Nadu

Cleantech Solar to Develop C&I Solar PV Projects of 60 MWp Capacity in Tamil Nadu Cleantech Solar Reaches Commercial Operation for Maiden Virtual Power Purchase Agreement

Cleantech Solar, which offers renewable energy solutions to corporations in India and Southeast Asia, has entered into long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers in Tamil Nadu. The agreements pave the way for the establishment of 60 MWp of open access solar park in Tirunelveli district in the state.

Power supplied from these projects will be purchased by consumers on a captive basis, helping power up their manufacturing operations in Tamil Nadu .The projects are being set up across various sectors like automotive, chemicals and education.

The addition of the said projects in the firm’s kitty takes its blue chip customers to over 15 with projects standing at a cumulative of 300 MWp in stages of operations and construction in Tamil Nadu.

The partnerships forged between Cleantech Solar and the C&I customers will produce close to 2,112 GWh of clean energy, curbing 1,932 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions.

Cleantech recently marked its entry into the open-access segment of wind energy with its latest proposed wind energy projects. The firm, in its latest development, signed an agreement with international industrial customers in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu for its upcoming 25 MW wind power projects in these states.
