Cleantech Forays Into Open Access Of Wind Power, Signs Pact For 25MW Wind Projects  Irish Firm Aer Soléir to Develop 130 MW Hybrid Project in Spain

Cleantech Solar, a renewable energy company, has now marked its entry into the open-access segment of wind energy with its latest proposed wind energy projects. The firm, in its latest development, has signed an agreement with international industrial customers in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu for its upcoming 25MW wind power projects in these states.

As per the agreement, the power customers will procure power from these wind parks on a captive basis to meet energy requirements at their manufacturing facilities in the respective states. These projects mark Cleantech Solar’s entry into the combined wind and solar solutions, offering clients hybrid power to meet their renewable energy goals.

“These long-term green energy partnerships with the customers are expected to generate over 1.5 TWh of clean energy during the lifetime of the projects, amounting to a reduction of nearly 1,434 kilotonnes of CO2 emissions. Cleantech Solar is the turnkey wind energy provider, and these wind projects will be designed, financed, built, operated, and maintained by the developer through the term of the agreement,” the company said in a media statement.

In addition to wind power, Cleantech Solar shall also provide solar power to these customers. Raju Shukla, Founder, and CEO of Cleantech Solar, said, “Along with signifying our entry as a hybrid green energy provider, these projects are a testament to the trust customers have reposed in our high-quality renewable energy solutions. The combination of both solar and wind technologies will enable the industry leaders to significantly increase the proportion of renewable energy powering their operations by providing a reliable and consistent source of power. This will accelerate their green energy transition, and we are delighted to be their partner of choice. Look forward to the successful commissioning of these wind projects.”

The firm has its headquarters in Singapore. It has numerous solar power plants across India and Southeast Asia, covering over 750 MW across the various stages of operations and construction, with many more solar and wind projects under development. This includes installations in India, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
