CIL Invites Bids For 40 MW Solar Project To Power MP Coal Plant To bring renewable energy to coal power stations in Madhya Pradesh, Coal India Limited (CIL) has invited bids to develop a 40 MW solar power project at Johilla Area, Umaria in Madhya Pradesh. The last date for bid submission is December 27, 2024. The bidder for this project is expected to develop. The tender also asked the bidders to obtain the necessary permits and licenses to commission the 40 MW (AC) grid-connected ground-mounted solar PV power plant. The bidder will be required to supply, package, and transport PV modules to the solar site at Johilla Area, Umaria, Madhya Pradesh. Additionally, the bidder must undertake transit insurance for crystalline solar PV modules, with nominal wattage and dimensions as specified in the scope of supply for 1500V system voltage, including DC overloading and mandatory spares. The bidder must procure 56 MWp (minimum) PV modules, excluding mandatory spares, the tender said. They will be tasked with developing module mounting structures and fasteners. The bidder is expected to meet a minimum capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 23.54% at the delivery point, with a minimum Net Energy Expected to be Generated (NEEGG) of 82.48 million units in the first year. The project timeline is 12 months, and the operation and maintenance (O&M) period is 10 years after SCOD. The tender document is available free of cost. The solar power generated from the proposed solar project would be used by South Eastern Coal Fields Limited (SECL) for captive consumption. Through this tender, CIL Navikarniya Urja Limited (CNUL) endeavor to reduce energy charge of the subsidiary by installing the proposed solar project. The degradation in NEEGG quoted for any year would not be more than 0.5% of that quoted for the previous year.
