Chintan Shah Joins NSEFI’s Advocacy For India’s Energy Transition By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Aug 4th, 2023 Highlights : Chintan Shah will be guiding NSEFI’s policy advocacy encompassing the entire Renewable Energy Value chain including Manufacturing and Industrial Decarbonization Renewable Industry Veteran Chintan Shah joins National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI) as Principal Advisor and will be playing a key role in organization’s advocacy efforts to accelerate India’s Energy Transition. Shah is bringing extensive expertise spanning three decades in various key roles within India’s Renewable Energy sector. He has demonstrated proficiency in Solar, Wind, Storage, Manufacturing, Financing, Research and Development (R&D), and Policy formulation across the entire value chain. In his prior position as Director (Technical) at the Indian Renewable Development Agency (IREDA), he played a pivotal role in achieving the organization’s MOU targets. These targets encompassed Loan Sanctions, Disbursement, Gross Margin, Gross Sales, NPAs (Non-Performing Assets), Recovery from NPAs, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable Development, and Research and Development initiatives. Furthermore, Chintan Shah has been a driving force behind numerous projects related to appraisal, financing, policy formulation, as well as planning and monitoring of various Renewable Energy Projects. His involvement has extended to projects involving Wind, Small Hydro, Medium and Large Hydro, Biomass, Cogeneration, Solar Energy, Biogas, Waste to Energy, and Energy Efficiency. Before joining IREDA, he was the President of the SUZLON Group of Companies. He started his career at TERI as Research Associate in the year 1996 and left TERI in 2001, and joined SUZLON as General Manager. He worked as President with SUZLON till February 2018 before joining IREDA as the Director (Technical).
