CREDA is the nodal agency for solar power development in Chhattisgarh. The tender covers standardisation of Rates for Survey, design, supply, installation and commissioning of Solar Irrigation pumps with five years COMC, onsite warrantee & Insurance for anywhere in the State of Chhattisgarh from registered company with manufacturing facility in India and System integrators for SPV Module/Pump set/Controller with 3 years track record in SPV . The tender, issued on May 12, has a deadline of June 5. An earnest money deposit of Rs 15 Lacs will be required by all eligible bidders. Solar Pumps have become a key lever for state government’s across India to achieve targets for solar power as well as improve agricultural energy mix. The hope is to provide subsidised pump sets that will pay back in the form of reduction in power subsidies to farmers, besides providing avenues for possible earnings from grid supplies in the off season . The KUSUM scheme has been the key vehicle for solarisation, with an enhanced target to expand the scheme to provide 20 lakh farmers for setting up stand-alone solar pumps besides helping another 15 lakh farmers solarise their grid-connected pump sets. The CREDA invite is out of the quota allotted to Chhattisgarh, we understand. Chhattisgarh, as one of the most backward states in the country, has a long way to go, with a pre-dominant tribal population that has seen very limited benefits of development so far. One reason naxalism continues to be a huge issue in the state. Tags: Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency, CREDA< Solar pumps, KUSUM targets
