Chennai Metro Rail Ltd Issues Tender for Parking Solar Project of 3 MWp

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited has issued a tender for the design, engineering, supply, civil work, erection of suitable structure, testing and commissioning of ground mounted and parking solar PV project of 3 MWp including operation and comprehensive maintenance of the project in RESCO model for a period of 25 years. The tender is valued at INR 20 crore.

The bid submission start date is October 31, 2023. The bid opens on November 6, 2023. The last date to submit the bid is November 7, 2023.

The bid validity is for a period of 280 days. The EMD amount is INR 20,00,000. The completion period of the work is 18 months from the date of signing of PPA .

The bid submission fee is INR 32,000.

Bidding Capacity
A variation of ±25% on total contemplated capacity (3.0 MWp) will be allowed to be installed by the bidder, indicating it at the bidding stage itself. That includes enhancement of capacity at some specified location or reduction in capacity at some specified location or even dropping of entire scheme at some specified location.

The selected sites for parking solar for CMRL are Wimco Nagar- 150 kWp, Washermanpet- 500 kWp, Mannadi- 850 kWp, High Court- 50 kWp, Government Estate- 60 kWp, Saidapet Ground mounted- 120 kWp (ground mounted), Nanganallur Road- 300 kWp, Egmore- 300 kWp, Shenoy Nagar- 30 kWp, Anna Nagar East- 50 kWp, Thirumangalam- 75 kWp, Koyambedu- 350 kWp.

Recently, Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation issued a tender for design, engineering, supply and procurement, erection, testing, commissioning and comprehensive operation & maintenance for 5 (five) years for 406 Kw (Ac) grid connected rooftop solar photovoltaic power project on rooftop of various buildings at Two Locations.
