Satish, formerly the Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone and a senior leader at Meta, brings a wealth of experience to his new position after initially joining Chargeup as the Chief Digital Officer earlier this year, overseeing tech, data, and partnerships initiatives. Satish thinks, EV industry today is where telecom was 30 years back. In the 90s, envisioning the future trajectory of the telecom industry posed a challenge; however, it has now become a tangible reality, transitioning from imagination to reality. The EV industry currently stands at a similar juncture, showcasing comparable growth potential. As a promising sunshine segment, EVs contribute not only economically but also positively to communities, climate, and sustainability. Worth 50% of an EV’s cost attributed to the battery, technology plays a crucial role in its efficient management and is essential to the EV business. Chargeup aspires to empower a million drivers with better earnings and financial security, creating a community of driver entrepreneurs. Satish, a key figure in automotive disruptions, pioneered the IoT platform for the first EV car in the industry and collaborated on the inaugural connected car in 2016. His mission is to make EV technology user-friendly, and empower drivers, dealers, and employees alike. He aims to leverage AI/ML, predictive analysis, and maintenance to enhance battery health leading to better efficiency, 100% uptime, and higher driver earnings. By humanising the tech at Chargeup, Satish envisions bringing EV drivers into the business forefront, fostering ownership, recognition, and increased earnings. Satish strongly believes that with 3 million EV drivers and a 60% YoY growth rate currently, developing tailored technology for this community could be the next transformative moment, making sustainable transportation solutions a reality. The industry veteran is a BTech (Hons) graduate from REC, Kurukshetra, and has an Executive MBA degree from the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR). He has done his doctoral study in Customer Experience Management in Digital Era.
