Charge Zone & MG Motor Join Hands to Set Up Charging Stations Across India Automotive firm MG Motor India has joined hands with Charge Zone aiming at the expansion of EV charging network across India. Under the partnership forged by the two firms to set up EV charging network, Charge Zone and MG Motor will set up charging stations across prime locations on highways, cities as well as MG dealerships. Charge Zone, a Gujarat-based provider of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, had launched a 360 kW super charging station a few weeks ago. The EV charging network will be accessible by electric vehicle owners and integrate into the Charge Zone app. At present, MG boasts an EV charging network of over 12,000 chargers and claims to introduce a six-way charging solution.. In June, MG Motor announced powering 50% of its operations from Renewable Energy Sources (RES). As per a report released in September, 2023, the Indian EV charger market is poised to expand at an impressive CAGR of 46.5% between 2022 and 2030. It is estimated that annual sales of 3 million units will be achieved by 2030 with a strong push towards type-2 and fast charger installations.
