CESL & CLASP Sign MoU to Deploy High-quality Energy Efficiency Tech By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Wed, Jun 2nd, 2021 Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today, with CLASP, an international non-profit organisation, for the deployment of high-quality energy efficiency technologies. Convergence is focused on delivering clean, affordable and reliable energy through providing energy solutions that lie at the confluence of renewable energy, electric mobility, and climate change. Headquartered in Washington DC, USA, CLASP serves at the epicenter of collaborative, ambitious efforts to mitigate climate change and expand access to clean energy, through appliance energy performance and quality. CLASP’s mission is to improve the energy and environmental performance of the appliances & equipment we use every day, accelerating the transition to a more sustainable world. CESL and CLASP will set up a monitoring and quality assurance cell for products used in decentralized solar power generation, home-based energy efficient appliances, and other products. Under this partnership, protocols, testing, and evaluation mechanisms will be defined for the products being offered through CESL’s various business units. Sharing her views on the partnership, Mahua Acharya, CEO & MD, CESL, said, “Through this MoU, we will be able to enhance the quality and delivery of energy-efficient products, bringing new solutions such as battery-based energy storage, Internet of Things, for last mile communities where we work.
