Central University of Karnataka goes solar By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Mon, Aug 22nd, 2016 Located at the Kadaganchi in Aland taluk, the Central University of Karnataka (CUK) has installed 250 kW grid tied solar power plant within its campus, facilitating the administration to save lakhs of rupees every month. Vice-Chancellor H.M. Maheshwaraiah said that “We have been saving lakhs of rupees every month since the start of power production from the solar power plant installed in the main campus.” He further added that the solar panels produce 350 kV of power is every day. The power generated is exported to the grid of the Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company. H.M.
