CEL Invites Tender for 25 MW Of DRE Projects In Maharashtra By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, Jan 7th, 2022 Privatization bound Central Electronics Limited (CEL), presently still a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Science and Technology, has invited bids for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of decentralized solar systems ranging from 2 MW to 10 MW for a cumulative capacity of 25 MW at various substations in Maharashtra. Central Electronics Limited (CEL) is the selected agency for such projects for the state. Winning bidders will be responsible for O&M of their project for a period of 12 years. At present, bids have been invited specifically for the districts of Washim, Buldhana, and Sangli in the state. Central Electronics Limited (CEL) has already identified land for these projects, with alternative options to be provided in case of issues. The last date for final bid submission is January 19, 2022, with bids to be opened on the same day. Bidding qualifying requirements include having designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned a cumulative capacity of 5 MW of grid-connected solar power projects for any government agency, public sector undertaking, registered cooperative society, or private companies in the last five years as of the bid submission date. Out of the total capacity, at least one project should be of 1 MW or higher capacity and should have been installed at a single location.
