BSPGCL Invites Bids for Consultancy Services for Setting-up 200 – 250 MW Solar Power Plants By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Fri, May 6th, 2022 Highlights : The submission of the tender e-bidding starts 4th May, 2022 and the last date of e-bid submission is kept on 25th May. The pre-bid meeting will take place on 13th May, 2022. Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPGCL) has issued tender for request for proposal for selection of agency for providing consultancy services for setting up 200 to 250 MW Solar Power Plants. The notification by BSPGCL says that as far as selection method is concerned, it would be combined quality cum cost based selection. The tender cost is Rs 10,000 and is non-refundable. The tender follows the increase in solar direction thanks to PSU’s like SJVN, and the approval by the state cabinet to these projects back in November last year. The scope work in Phase-I will comprise feasibility report for Kajra and Pirpainti separately for the development of solar power project and energy storage solutions. The consultant will also prepare the detailed project report (DPR) for the two projects of Kajra and Pirpainti separately that will include screening of land, site assessment, solar plant capacity, storage scoping study, project implementation strategy, social and environmental aspects, legal and statutory aspects, plant operation and maintenance, project cost estimates and financial details, risk assessment and energy yield assessment. In Phase-II, the successful bidder will also have to provide vendor support and contractual support separately for Kajra and Pirpainti projects where it will provide support in bid process management to Bihar State Power Generation Company Limited which will also include preparation of tender document specification covering bid parameters, eligibility and evaluation criteria. The current installed including allocated power capacity in Bihar stands at 6660MW (June 2021), with renewable contributing to almost 26% of the total capacity.
