BlueBird Ties Up With Cliantech To Boost Its Capacity To 1.2 GW

Indian solar module manufacturer Bluebird Solar today announced collaborating with Cliantech Solutions to install an 800 MW fully automated solar panel manufacturing line at its facility in Greater Noida. This partnership aims to bolster production efficiency and meet the escalating global demand for renewable energy solutions, it said.

Bluebird Solar currently operates a 400MW production capacity. The introduction of this new 800MW manufacturing line, scheduled to be operational by the end of August 2024, will elevate Bluebird Solar’s total manufacturing capacity to 1.2GW. With this, the brand will come up with widest rage of N-Type TOPCon PV modules upto 645Wp in various cell configurations like 132 Cells, 144 Cells & 156 Cells.

“Situated across 5-acre facility in Greater Noida, Bluebird Solar’s manufacturing and warehousing infrastructure spans over 2 lakh square feet. The facility boasts advanced, ISO-certified processes that integrate cutting-edge AI-driven machinery for the production of solar PV modules. This ensures that every phase—from raw material procurement to final product delivery—is meticulously controlled, adhering to stringent quality standards and eliminating any margin for error,” it said in a statement.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this matter signed between the two entities also outlines plans for an additional 600 MW production line, slated to be operational by the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2024. The new manufacturing line will incorporate advanced technologies such as Line Automation, Visual (laminators), Asicpy (EL Tester), and HSPV (Sun Simulator/IV Tester), further enhancing operational efficiency and product quality. These advancements not only increase production capacity but also ensure that Bluebird Solar remains at the forefront of technological innovation in solar PV manufacturing, the firm said.
