Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd Looks to Procure Power for 10 MW Floating PV

Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd (BSPGCL) has issued a tender for the procurement of power through tariff-based competitive bidding from grid-connected 10 MW (AC) floating solar PV power project to be set up under RESCO mode over the Reservoir of Phulwaria Dam at Rajauli, Nawada in the state of Bihar.

The Earnest Money Deposit to be made for the Bihar State Power Generation Company Ltd tender by the bidder is INR 1.2 Crore.

The last day to submit the bid online is December 15, 2023. The techno-commercial bid opens on December 15, 2023. The date of the opening of the financial bid will be intimated later to the eligible bidders.

The e-reverse auction request schedule will be communicated after completion of the evaluation of the financial bid.

The scope of work entails the establishment of a floating solar project, inclusive of the transmission network up to the delivery point. The developer shall obtain all the approvals.

A power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years will be signed between Bihar State Power Generation company Limited and state power distribution firms.

To qualify for bidding, the bidder must have commissioned solar projects of 5 MW cumulatively. Of this, at least one project must be of 1 MW capacity.

The bidding document stipulates that only the solar modules that are registered under the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers will be eligible for bidding. At the same time, the modules must come with a warranty of ten years.

The first floating solar plant was commissioned in Bihar in Darbhanga. The plant boasts a capacity of 2 MW. The project was looked into by BREDA (Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency).
