BHEL Tenders for O&M of 5 MW Solar Plant in Tamil Nadu

BHEL has tendered for carrying out the O&M work on the firms’ 5 MW solar plant in Tamil Nadu.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has issued a tender, inviting bids from eligible firms for carrying out the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) work on the firms’ 5 MW solar PV power plant at the Ranipet premises in Tamil Nadu.

The scope of work for the selected bidders will include the operation and maintenance of the plant for a period of two years from March 7, 2020, to March 6, 2022. The main task will include the logging of parameters of PCUs, ACDB, UPS with battery, HT panels, transformers, weather reports and equipment tripping/ breakdown, EB Failures, etc as per BHEL requirements. And the recording of parameters of SCADA data station/ PC operations for daily monitoring of weather parameters, trend graphs and urgent reporting to BHEL in case of any problems/ anomalies observed with any of the parameters.

Additionally, all the solar modules (19,632) are to be cleaned using water and mobs with grass cutting under the solar panels and 2-meter surroundings of the solar panels, at least once in two months.

The last date for bid submission is January 31, 2019, and the techno-commercial bids will be opened on the same date. A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for January 24, 2019, to address the concerns raised by the prospective bidders. All bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 79 thousand along with their bids.

To be eligible, the contractors

1. Should have completed similar work successfully i.e.‘HT Operation of 11kV’ / O&M of Renewable Energy like Solar, Wind, etc. / Installation of HT Electrical works / Maintenance of HT substation.
2. Should have an average annual financial turnover at least Rs 9.77 lakh during the last 3 years ending on March 31, 2019.
3. Should have completed one work of value of minimum Rs 26.05 lakh or two works of the value of minimum Rs 16.28 lakh each or three works of the value of minimum Rs 13.02 lakh each during the last 7 years.

In October, BHEL had issued a tender, seeking bids from eligible companies for carrying out the operation and maintenance (O&M) work for a 50 MW solar power plant at NTPC Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh.
