BHEL Issues Tender for Detailed Study of NTPC’s 22 MW Floating Solar Plant By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Thu, Dec 12th, 2019 The last date and time for the bid submission is December 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Country’s largest power generation equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has issued tender seeking bids for detailed investigation and survey of a proposed project site of 22 MW floating solar power plant in Kerala. The last date and time for the bid submission is December 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. This 22 MW floating solar PV power plant will be set up by BHEL at RGCCPP, NTPC Kayamkulam in Kerala. The scope of project work includes conducting detailed geotechnical investigation of land, bathymetric survey and geotechnical investigation of the water body works for the proposed project site. Further, the interested bidders can submit their applications in two separate envelopes i.e. one for ‘techno-commercial bid’, and the other for ‘price bid’. Additionally, the estimated cost of the project will be Rs 8.20 lakh. However, BHEL has advised the contractors that they can personally visit the work place to understand the scope of work before submitting their bids. The scope of work also includes deployment of manpower, equipments etc. to carry out the given work and submission of test reports drawing etc. as per condition of contract, technical specification and schedule of works. Besides, the site is a natural back water pond for the thermal plant at NTPC Kayamkulam, and the area covered for geotechnical investigation and bathymetric survey will be 170 acres of water body.
