BHEL Clinches CBIP Award as Best Power Equipment Maker By Manu Tayal/ Updated On Fri, Jan 11th, 2019 The award was received by Atul Sobti, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), BHEL, from R.K. Public sector electric equipment maker Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has won the ‘Best Power Equipment Manufacturing Organisation’ award during the CBIP Award 2019. The award was received by Atul Sobti, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), BHEL, from R.K. Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for New & Renewable Energy and Power, on the CBIP Day. The power equipment maker has been conferred with the award for its outstanding contribution towards nation building through manufacturing a wide range of equipment for the core sectors of the economy. BHEL is the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy and infrastructure sector with the capability to manufacture the entire range of power plant equipment. It caters to the core sectors like power generation, transmission, renewable energy, industry transportation, oil & gas, water, defence & aerospace, and e-mobility and energy storage solutions, and has references in 82 countries across the globe.
