Bangladesh Issues Three Solar Tenders for Cumulative Capacity of 77.6 MW

Bangladesh Issues Three Solar Tenders for Cumulative Capacity of 77.6 MW

Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has issued three tenders with a cumulative capacity of 77.6 MW . It has invited bids for the construction of 50 MWp (DC) solar photovoltaic grid-connected power plant at Rangunia, Chattagram, Bangladesh; construction of 20 MWp (DC) solar photovoltaic grid-connected power plant at Baropukuria, Fulbari, Dinajpur, Bangladesh and the construction of 7.6 MWp (DC) solar photovoltaic grid-connected power plant at Kaptai, Rangamati, Bangladesh.

The project is to be completed on a turnkey basis and all materials and products are to be supplied, installed, and commissioned by the successful bidder. The technical and other staff required will be present to supervise the project. BPDB will also provide local support for the time period of the said project. It will also provide the necessary logistics support for project completion.

50 MW Project

The tender for construction of 50 MWp (DC). The time for completion of commissioning from the effective date of contract is 360 days. The price for tender document is 10,000.00 (Tk. Ten Thousand). The last date and time for submission of tender is 02.04.2023 at 11.00 am.

20 MW Project 

The time for completion of commissioning from the effective date of contract is 300 days. The price of tender document is TK. 10,000. The last date and time for submission of tender is 02.04.2023 at 11 am.

7.6 MW Project 

The time for completion of commissioning from the effective date of contract is 240 days. The price of tender document is TK. 10,000.00. The last date and time for submission of tender is 02.04.2023 at 11 am.

Bangladesh aims at producing 40% of its energy from renewable energy sources by 2040. Bangladesh government has issued the National Solar Energy Roadmap (SREDA) draft that eyes about 40 GW of solar power in which 40 per cent will come from rooftop installations.
