KPI Green Gets Rs 686 Crore Credit Facilities For Kutch Solar project Avaada Energy , the renewable energy arm of Avaada Group, commenced a new 50 MW solar power plant in the Banka district on Tuesday. With this Bihar has now increased its total solar capacity to 181.1 MW. Last year approval was given for a 75 MW solar plant in Banka and a 125 MW solar plant in Jamui, both in the state of Bihar. Principal secretary-cum-CMD of Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL), Sanjeev Hans, of the energy department, commended the Avaada Group on a job well done in commissioning the solar plant during a review meeting held on Tuesday in the state capital, Patna. Last month, Avaada Energy announced the successful closure of one of the largest refinancing transactions in India’s renewable energy sector, securing about Rs 4,471 crore from the state-owned lender, the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development. Earlier this month, Avaada Energy secured a Rs 1,190 crore loan for a new solar project in Gujarat from the State Bank of India (SBI). The project is located in the Surendra Nagar district of Gujarat. In April, Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency, (BREDA) released a tender for grid–connected rooftop solar power plants of various capacities.
