Aurora Solar Bags Volume Order from LG Electronics By Saur News Bureau/ Updated On Wed, Dec 14th, 2016 Aurora Solar Technologies, one of the top players in inline measurement and control technology for the photovoltaic manufacturing industry has announced that it has received an order from South Korean firm LG Electronics. Aurora Solar said that it has received order for 12 Decima CDs and multiple Veritas Servers spans several production lines and is expected to ship before the end of February 2017. Aurora’s Decima measures the emitter dopant within a polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic (PV) wafer, similar to sheet resistance. This product is the industry’s first inline, non-contact emitter dopant measurement system featuring whole-wafer mapping at full production throughput for 100% of manufactured cells. Featuring single or multi-track measurement capability, Decima’s sensors and analysis technology provide accurate real-time measurements for process control and optimization. The company notes that it has been designed specifically for the PV production environment, the Decima provides rock-solid 24×7 continuous measurements, is compact and easily installed in a production line, and provide accurate characterization of both short and long term diffusion/annealing furnace behavior. On the other hand Aurora’s Veritas system is a common visualization, operations and administration system for all of the Aurora Decima measurement systems on a solar cell production line. Through Veritas, Decima units are seamlessly networked across a production line to provide unified operations and process information.
