APDCL Issues RFS for Engagement of Consultant for Wind Power Project

Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL) has issued an RFS for the procurement of of 50 MW (AC) solar power from grid-connected ground mounted solar PV project to be developed in no. 3 Sitalmari Village under Borsola Revenue Circle, Dhekiajuli, Sonitpur District of Assam. It will be on Build-Own-Operate mode (BOO) through tariff-based competitive bidding process. This will be followed by e-reverse auction.

The bid submission end date is 09.03.2023 at 14:00 Hrs. The bid opening date is 10.03.2023 at 15:00 Hrs.

The ceiling tariff has been fixed at Rs 4.00 per unit. The cost of RFS is Rs 29500. The EMD amount is Rs 4.03 cr. The expiry period if 150 days from the original date.

The performance security is Rs 10.08 cr.

The APDCL tender follows a strong push for renewable energy, particularly solar, by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who has set  target of 1000 MW of solar capacity in the state by 2025 or earlier, with an investment of Rs 5,000 crores.

In a more recent news, the administration of Assam Cabinet revealed it will grant a power purchase subsidy of Rs 150 crores to APDCL.

APDCL had recently issued a tender for procurement of 200 MW solar power project under BOO Mode.
