ArcVera Picked for Engineering Services to 1.2 GW Solar Project in USA

Colorado-based ArcVera Renewables has announced that it has been selected to provide independent engineering (IE) services for Onward Energy’s Global Atlantic solar portfolio recently acquired having a capacity of nearing 1200 MW.

ArcVera said that it is bullish on making a mark in the renewable energy sector especially in the solar sector through its independent engineering services.

Kevin Lichtenstein, Director for Global Solar & Storage, ArcVera, said, “This was a massive, operating utility-scale solar portfolio requiring technical due diligence of seller’s IE reports, designs, equipment, operations and maintenance, historical performance, warranties, budgets, financial models, offtake arrangements, and other parameters.”

David Simkins, Director of Global Business Development, ArcVera mentioned, “The solar services segment is rapidly expanding at ArcVera and, with that, increasing market demand for reliable, independent engineering services.”

The ArcVera director also added that today there is a strong need for qualified independent engineering teams who have the expertise to manage the myriad details of technical due diligence required at deal-flow pace.

Global Atlantic Solar Project

Onward Energy announced the close of acquisition of a 1,171 MW operating solar portfolio from Global Atlantic Financial Group in January this year. The acquisition includes operating solar assets in eight states of the USA and establishes the company as one of the largest operators of solar assets in the U.S.

With the closing of this acquisition, Onward owns and operates over 4.3 GW of renewable energy in twenty-two states. The transaction represents the largest renewable investment in its history and further diversifies the 6 GW energy generation portfolio.
