Amplus Wins APVIA Award for Contribution to PV Industry

Adding another feather in its cap, country’s one of the leading rooftop solar power producers Amplus Energy Solutions has won the APVIA Award 2019 for its contribution to the photovoltaic (PV) industry.

The ‘APVIA 2019 for Photovoltaic Application for Enterprise’ award was presented by Asian Photovoltaic to Amplus and Ashish Singh, AVP, Procurement, Amplus has received the award on behalf of the company.

The award ceremony was held in Shanghai, China on the sidelines of the SNEC 2019 PV Power Expo.

In the Asia-Pacific area, APVIA awards, which was launched by the Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) in 2013, is one of the most influential awards for the photovoltaic industry.

As a non-profit social organization, it consists of PV enterprises, scientific institutions and other relevant organizations in Asian countries that recognizes organizations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the photovoltaic industry through achievements in the areas of capability development or innovation.

Commenting on the award win, Amplus Energy Solutions, Managing Director & CEO, Sanjeev Aggarwal said, “We are honoured to have received the prestigious APVIA award 2019 for our contribution to the photovoltaic industry. In the month of May this year, the company had revealed its plan to invest Rs 750 crore of capital on two open access solar projects aggregating 150 MW of capacity in Haryana, under its Rs 1,000 crore investment strategy.

Petronas Holdings arm has received approval from the state government to supply solar energy under open access route to industries under these projects.

Meanwhile, Asia’s one of the leading distributed solar power company will set up these projects under group captive model in Sirsa and Bhiwani districts of Haryana.
