Amplus Commissions 73.4 MWp Open Access Solar Plant In Jhansi

Amplus, has announced the successful commissioning of its 73.4 MWp Project Lakshmi, an intra-state open-access solar plant in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh.  Project Lakshmi marks Amplus’s third solar open-access plant in Uttar Pradesh, following the success of Project Mirza and Project Deoria. This latest milestone elevates Amplus’s operational open-access capacity in Uttar Pradesh to over 200 MWp, consolidating its position as a leading provider of clean energy solutions to commercial and industrial customers in the state. As one of the early movers into the state with solar at scale, Amplus can also take credit for helping establish a viable market for open access solar in UP.

Interconnected at the 132 KV Gursarai substation, Project Lakshmi will deliver substantial energy cost savings to Amplus’s clientele across the state.

Amplus has diversified into new avenues such as wind-solar hybrid, battery storage, residential solar, distributed green hydrogen.

It owns and manages a portfolio of over 1.6+ GW of distributed solar assets and serves 350+ renowned Indian and multinational firms like Yamaha, Cisco, Amazon, Walmart, Reckitt Benckiser, Schlumberger, Carlsberg, ABB, TVS, Schneider, Qualcomm, Halliburton, GE, Honda among others, quadrupling its customer base from 2017 to 2023.   

Amplus is a member of Malaysian clean energy solutions provider Gentari Sdn Bhd (Gentari).
